Ministry Of Water Resouces Funding Scheme Research Scholar

I'm K. Saravanan, and I’m a research scholar working under a Ministry of Water Resources funding scheme. Most of my time is spent at the Forest College and Research Institute in Mettupalayam. It's a nice area in the Coimbatore District, and being surrounded by the forestry work makes sense for what I’m doing. My M.Sc is in Forestry, so this project fits right in with what I studied. I don't have a big staff or a fancy office suite. It's mostly me, my notes, and the research I’m conducting. The college has been around for a while, and the 641301 pin code is home to a lot of academic work. It isn't a corporate setup at all; it’s more about the trees and the water studies. Sometimes I’m out in the field and other times I’m stuck at a desk in the institute. The funding from the ministry helps keep the research going. I don't really do any promotion or advertising because that’s not what research is about. I just focus on the data and the reports I have to write. It’s a quiet life of study here in Tamil Nadu. The days are long, but the work is interesting enough if you like nature and science. It’s just me doing my bit for the scheme and trying to finish my project. I try to stay organized with my papers, though it gets messy sometimes.
