Merchandiser

Our place, Merchandiser, is located at Sivasakthi Illam. We are right behind K.P.R Knits in Avanashikowndampalayam. It is a bit of a trek out here compared to the main town, but it stays a little quieter. Tirupur is huge and we found this spot worked best for our daily tasks. The building is easy to spot if you are looking for the big knit factory nearby. We spend most of our time looking over specs and talking to the production guys. It is just honest work. We don't use fancy computers for everything, a lot of it is still written down in ledgers. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we just walk over to talk to people instead. My brother and I started this after working for other people for years. We wanted something of our own. The office has a few fans that hum all day. It’s not air-conditioned but the breeze is okay. We have some old wooden furniture that has seen better days. It is a practical space for practical people. Most of our neighbors are doing the same thing, just trying to make a living in the textile world. We drink a lot of coffee and stay late when the shipments are due. If you are looking for us, just ask someone near the K.P.R gate, they usually know where Sivasakthi Illam is. We keep the gate open during the day so anyone can just walk in and talk.
