Medical Imaging And Artificial Intelligence

We are based over at Karunya University. It’s a pretty big campus and we spend most of our time in the lab working on different imaging projects. It’s not just about computers, though there is a lot of that. We spend hours looking at scans and trying to make sense of what the software is telling us. It can get a bit repetitive, honestly. The air conditioning in the lab is always a bit too cold, so most of us bring a sweater even when it’s boiling outside. We aren’t a big corporation, just a group here at the university trying to figure out how AI can actually help with medical stuff. Sometimes the code breaks or the data isn't clean, and we have to start over. It takes a lot of patience. We have some decent equipment, though it’s always a struggle to keep everything updated. People come and go, students mostly, but a few of us have been here since the start. We don't really do fancy presentations or anything like that. We just sit at our desks, drink too much coffee, and look at screens. Being part of Karunya University means there's always something happening nearby, but we mostly stay tucked away in our corner. It’s quiet work for the most part. We just want to see if we can make these tools work a bit better for the doctors who eventually use them. The labs stay open late most nights.
