Mariamman Fusing Center

This shop is tucked away on 2nd Street in Aruljothi Nagar. We are part of the M. S. Nagar East section near Kongu Main Road. It is a bit of a maze back here if you are not from around this side of town. We handle the fusing work which means it gets pretty warm inside the building. The machines stay on most of the day and there is always a low hum in the air. We have been at this location for a while now. Most people find us by coming down from the main road and turning near the shops. There is not much room for parking so things get tight when the delivery vans arrive. We spend most of our time standing at the tables or moving bundles of fabric around. It is dusty work sometimes but that is just how it goes in this industry. Usually, there are three or four of us here keeping things moving. We take our tea breaks together when the heat gets to be too much. We do not have any big signs or bright lights. It is just a plain room where the work happens day after day. Sometimes the neighbors come by to complain about the noise or just to see what we are up to. We try to keep things organized but when it is busy the floor gets covered in scraps. It is just life on Kongu Main Road and we are used to it.
