Manikutty Social Empowerment Foundation is located at 15/91 West Street in Ramanathapuram. It is a typical street in this part of Tamil Nadu, with houses and small shops lined up next to each other. Our office is just a part of that row. We are right there in the heart of Ramanathapuram, and we’ve been operating from this address for some time. The foundation is all about empowerment, but we go about it in a very quiet, local way. We don't have a website that looks like a multinational corporation. Instead, we have a physical office where people can actually come and talk to us. West Street is usually quite busy during the morning hours, but it settles down in the afternoon. Inside, our space is functional and a bit crowded with supplies and files. We do our own filing and answer our own phones. There isn't a team of assistants here. It is just us trying to make things better for the people in our town. We deal with the heat and the power cuts just like everyone else on West Street. Being part of the community in Ramanathapuram is important to us, so we stay right where the action is. It is an honest, hardworking environment where we focus on the tasks we have set for ourselves. We are just regular people working for a cause we care about.
