Mahalakshmi Industrial Forgings

Down here at Mahalakshmi Industrial Forgings, the day starts before the sun is even fully up. We are located in Kurukkampalayam, near the P.O. Mgc Palayam area. It’s a bit out of the way compared to the big city shops, but we like it that way. The air is a little different here. Inside the workshop, it stays pretty hot because of the forging work we do. You get used to the heat after a few days, but it is still tough going in the middle of the afternoon. We have a group of local guys who walk or bike in from the nearby villages. They know their way around the hammers and the furnaces better than anyone. We don’t spend much time on paperwork or computer stuff if we can help it. Mostly, we are just moving heavy metal and making sure the shapes are right. If someone calls, they usually talk to whoever is closest to the phone. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. We just do the work and send it out. Sometimes the roads around Kurukkampalayam get a bit dusty, especially when the big lorries pass through. But we have been here for a good while and the neighbors know us. It is a simple setup at Mahalakshmi Industrial Forgings, but it gets the job done for the people who need us. We don't worry about being fancy, we just get it done.
