Maegam Foundation

Maegam Foundation is tucked away on the third floor of Vignesh Apartment. You have to walk up the stairs to Room 302 to find us. It’s a bit of a climb, but it keeps us active throughout the day. The apartment building is usually quiet when everyone is out at work. We set up this foundation because we wanted to have a dedicated space to work on our projects. It isn't a big operation. It’s mostly just a few desks, some old computers, and a lot of notebooks. We spend our time planning things and talking to people who walk through the door. Being on the third floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below, which is nice when we take a tea break. We handle a lot of the administrative stuff ourselves. There isn't a receptionist or anyone like that. If the bell rings, one of us just gets up to answer it. We like it that way because it keeps things personal and low-key. The foundation work varies from week to week. Some days are very slow, and other days we are running around trying to get everything finished before the sun goes down. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and the neighbors in the apartment are used to seeing us. It’s a practical setup for what we need. We don't need a glass building to do what we do. This small office is plenty.
