We are located on Vadakkuthottam Road in Malumichampatti. It’s a bit quieter than the main city parts of Tamil Nadu, which is good for what we do. Southern Automation Industrial Training Services Pvt. Ltd. is basically a place where people come to get their hands on actual equipment. We have a lot of different kits and panels set up around the rooms. It’s not like a school where you just sit and look at a blackboard all day. There are wires everywhere and PLC units that need programming. Most of us who work here spent years in factories ourselves, so we know how frustrating it is when a machine breaks down and you don't know why. We try to pass that knowledge on without making it too boring. The floors are concrete and the desks are sturdy because things get dropped sometimes. It’s a bit cluttered with manuals and spare parts, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big fancy website or a bunch of slogans. Folks usually find us because they need to learn a specific skill for their job. We spend our afternoons helping people figure out why a circuit isn't closing or how a sensor works. It’s satisfying when someone finally gets it. We just keep the lights on and the trainers ready for whoever walks through the door.
