Lotus Automotives sits right at 47, Venkadaturam, along Thadagam Main Road. It’s easy to spot if you’re driving by, though the traffic can get a bit heavy during the rush hours. We’ve been at this location for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Our workshop is where we spend the bulk of our time. It’s got that smell of oil and old metal that you’d expect from a place like ours. We don't have a big air-conditioned waiting room with magazines. Instead, you'll probably find a couple of stools and a lot of parts laid out on the benches. We like to keep things transparent. If a part is worn out, we show it to you. There’s no use in hiding things or using big words to explain a simple mechanical problem. We work with our hands and we take pride in knowing how things fit together. Some days the floor is a mess of tools because we’re in the middle of a big project, but we always clean up before we head home. We aren't a huge chain or a corporate branch. It’s just us and our tools, trying to help folks keep their vehicles moving. Most of our regulars are neighbors or people who work nearby. We just talk plain English and tell you what the situation is. It’s an honest living and we like being part of the community here.
