Lingabhiravi Events

Our place is over at No. 84 C Katteri Thottam, on Swami Iyer New Street. It is a bit of a quiet residential area, so we try not to make too much noise when we are loading the trucks in the morning. Lingabhiravi Events is basically just us organizing things from a small garage and one office room. There are always piles of fabric, metal poles, and lights sitting around waiting for the next job to start. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or out at different sites across the city. The office is usually a mess of schedules and notes scribbled on scraps of paper. We do not have a receptionist or a fancy lobby for people to wait in. If you come by, you will probably find us mid-conversation about where a generator needs to go or why a truck is late. Swami Iyer New Street is a nice spot, though the turning at the end is a bit tight for the bigger vans we use. We have been doing this for a few years now. It is a lot of late nights and early mornings. Sometimes things go wrong, like a fuse blowing or a delivery being late, and we just have to figure it out on the fly. It is not a glamorous life, despite what people think. It is mostly manual labor and making sure we have enough extension cords.
