Leather Style

Down in Coimbatore, we’re located at 199/323 Thadagam Road, right near the G. C. T. Post. It’s a long road and we see a lot of students and commuters passing by every day. Leather Style is a small business, and this shop is where we keep all our leather goods and materials. The air gets quite warm, so we have the fans going from the moment we open up. We have stacks of different leathers in the corner, and the smell of the hides is the first thing you notice when you walk in. It’s a mix of an office and a store, though we don’t have fancy displays. We just put things out on the wooden counters. A lot of our time is spent talking to local craftsmen and people looking for specific types of leather for their projects. We’ve got an old clock on the wall that ticks quite loudly, but you stop hearing it after a while. The floor is swept every morning, but the dust from the road always finds its way back in. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know the trade. We stay open until the sun goes down and the traffic on Thadagam Road thins out. It’s a steady kind of life here. We keep a small radio on the shelf that mostly plays local news. It’s been here since we moved in.
