Our shop, Womenz, is located at 3 Divya Garden on P & T Colony Road in Kaundampalayam. We chose the name because it felt a little different from the usual stuff. We’ve been in this spot for some years now. Kaundampalayam is a good place for a business like ours. It’s mostly local families and people going about their daily business. We aren't some high-end luxury store; we are just a regular shop on P & T Colony Road. We keep a variety of clothes on the racks. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to stay a bit longer to get everything sorted out and put away. It’s just part of the work. We don't have a fancy website or a bunch of social media people. We just rely on people seeing us when they walk by Divya Garden. The shop is a bit cramped because we try to fit a lot in, but most people don't mind. We have a few fans going to keep it cool when it gets stuffy, and there’s always a bit of chatter. We like to keep things informal. If you come in, you’ll probably see one of us folding a pile of shirts or checking a price tag with a pen. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours. We’ve had some good times here and we plan to stay for a while longer. It’s just an honest way to make a living in Kaundampalayam. It feels like home to us.
