Safe Pneumatics

Safe Pneumatics is located in Bharathi Colony, over in the Peelamedu area of the city. Our shop is specifically in PRP Garden. We work with air systems and all sorts of pneumatic tools. It’s a lot of rubber hoses, brass valves, and heavy compressors. The place usually has a faint hiss of air leaking from somewhere if you listen closely enough. It’s a practical, messy workspace, not a fancy showroom. We have workbenches lined with tools and spare parts scattered around in old bins. Most of the people who come to see us are mechanics or factory workers from around the area. They usually have a pump that stopped working or they need a specific fitting for a machine. We don't have a secretary or a receptionist. When the phone rings, one of us just wipes our greasy hands and picks it up. It’s a bit dusty in here because of all the metalwork and the fact that we keep the front door open for air. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the main roads. We’ve got a small backyard where we keep the larger air tanks. Sometimes we have to spend the whole afternoon trying to find a tiny leak in a complicated system. It can be frustrating, but that’s just the nature of this kind of job. We don’t use fancy software to track our orders; we just use a ledger and our own memory. It’s worked for us so far.
