Karpagam Medical College

Karpagam Medical College is located out in Othakalmandapam, which is a bit of a drive from the main part of Coimbatore. We are down here in Tamil Nadu, 641032. The campus is a large place with several buildings for the different departments. It’s where people come when they are studying to become doctors or nurses. We have the hospital part and then the classrooms and labs where the students spend most of their time. It’s a busy environment because there are always patients coming in and students rushing to their next lecture. The grounds are kept okay, but it’s a working medical facility, so things can be a bit chaotic sometimes. We have been here for a while now. The local area of Othakalmandapam has grown a lot since the college started. There are lots of dorms and places for the students to eat nearby. It is a serious place, but you see people hanging out in the hallways between classes or grabbing a quick tea. We don't have any fancy mission statements posted on the walls or anything like that. It’s just a place where the work gets done. People from all over the state come here to learn. The weather is usually pretty warm, so the fans are always going in the study halls. It is just a normal, busy medical campus doing its thing every day. We just focus on the teaching and the patients who come through our doors.
