Kani Priya Chit Funds is located in Coimbatore too, but we are over at Gandhipuram 5th Street Extension. Our door number is 304. Gandhipuram is always moving, always busy with shoppers and buses. We are just a small part of that big picture. Our office is a straightforward space where we manage the chit groups. We don't have any polished marble or leather sofas. It is just a place to get work done. We handle the monthly collections from people who work in the nearby shops or live in the apartments around here. Most of our day is spent writing out receipts and updating the books. It’s a bit of a manual process, but it works for us and our members. We have a few staff members who have been with us since we opened. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Tamil Nadu. We just want to do right by the people who come through our door. The 5th Street Extension is a good spot because it’s accessible. People can drop in during their lunch break or after they finish their shift. We try to keep things relaxed. There’s usually a pot of coffee or some tea around. We just focus on keeping the chits running on time and making sure everyone gets their turn when the auction comes around. It’s a bit noisy with the city outside but we don't mind much.
