Junior Officer - Microbiologist

If you walk down Mariamman Koil Street in Kumarasamy Pet, you’ll find us at number 41. We’ve been set up here in Dharmapuri for quite a bit. As a Junior Officer - Microbiologist, the work usually involves a lot of looking through microscopes and testing samples. It’s not the kind of thing everyone understands, but it’s important for the local projects we help with. The lab isn't huge, but we have the equipment we need to get the testing done right. Dharmapuri is a steady place to live and work. We don't have any big corporate slogans or a fancy front desk. It’s mostly just us in lab coats making sure the data is accurate. Some days are long, especially when we are waiting for cultures to grow. We drink a lot of coffee while we wait. The street outside can get pretty lively during festival times since the temple is nearby. We just keep our heads down and focus on the science. We started this because there was a need for local testing services that didn't require a trip to the big city. It’s a lot of notes and careful measurements. We don’t really advertise much. Most of our work comes from people who already know what we do. It’s a quiet life, but the work keeps us busy enough. We just try to be thorough with every sample that comes in.
