J.Star Travels,

Our office is at G-3, Singara Velu Complex. It’s on 1st Street in Gandhipuram, right opposite the traffic signal. J.Star Travels has been in this complex for a while now. Being right by the signal means I spend a lot of time looking at cars waiting for the light to turn green. It’s a great spot for people-watching. The office itself is small. We have a glass door that’s usually covered in thumbprints from people coming in and out. I try to clean it, but it just gets dirty again by the afternoon. We have a few chairs for people to sit while we sort out their paperwork. There’s a distinct smell of diesel and street food that drifts in from 1st Street. It doesn't bother us. We have a small TV in the corner that we keep on the news, but the volume is always low. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of people writing slogans. It’s just me and a helper. We handle everything from the bookings to the car maintenance. Sometimes the signal outside gets stuck and the traffic backs up all the way down the street. That’s when things get really noisy with the horns. But it’s a good location because everyone knows the Singara Velu building. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized with our yellow notebooks. It’s a simple life running a travel desk here.
