Jailakshmi Electricals is tucked away at 10/44 on S.S. Mills Road. If you’re looking for us, just head down that way and you’ll see our small setup. We basically handle all the usual electrical bits and pieces that people need for their houses or small shops. Wire, sockets, bulbs, that sort of thing. It’s a local business through and through. We don't have a giant warehouse or a fleet of trucks. It’s mostly just us behind the counter helping whoever walks in. S.S. Mills Road has its own rhythm, and we’ve been a part of it for a long time. The shop can get a bit dusty with all the boxes stacked up, but we know where everything is. Usually, people come in with a broken part and ask if we have a replacement that fits. We do our best to find it in the back. It’s not a complicated life. We open up in the morning, sort through the new deliveries, and chat with the regulars who stop by. Sometimes the weather makes things slow, or the road gets blocked, but we stay open regardless. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in the city. We just want to make sure the people in our neighborhood have a place to get their electrical supplies without having to drive across town. It’s a practical way to run a shop and we enjoy being part of the community here on this street. We just do our work and go home when the day is done.
