Indra Travels

We started Indra Travels a while back here in Ramanathapuram. It’s a small office at No.38, Om Sakti Nagar. Mostly we just help people get where they need to go without too much fuss. Whether it's a trip out of Coimbatore or just getting a car for the day, we try to keep things simple. People come by the office and tell us their plans, and we look at what’s available. It’s not a big fancy operation, just a few of us working through the bookings and making sure the drivers know where they are going. Sometimes the roads are a mess, especially around Cbe-45, but we manage. My cousin helps out with the phone calls and keeping track of the schedules. We don't really have a big website or anything, mostly just folks in the neighborhood who know where we are. It gets busy during the holidays when everyone wants to go to the hills or visit family. We’ve had some long days sitting here figuring out the best routes. It’s nice to see the same faces coming back year after year. We keep a ledger for everything, even though everything is going digital now. It just feels easier that way for us. Sometimes we have tea while we wait for the next person to walk in. It’s just how we do things here. We know the shortcuts around the city and which buses are running late. It’s practical work. We just try to get the timings right so nobody is left waiting on a street corner very long. Our office has a bright blue door.
