Indo Shell Cast Pvt. Ltd. is situated at No. 14 in the SIDCO Industrial Estate. Being in a SIDCO area means we are part of a long row of similar industrial units, all doing different kinds of heavy work. Our place is focused on casting, so there is a lot of heat and the smell of hot sand and metal is always present. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust from the molds, which is just part of the process. We have a group of workers who have been doing this for a long time and they have the rhythm down perfectly. It is physically demanding work and the shop gets very warm in the afternoons, especially near the furnaces. We have a small yard where the scrap metal is kept before it gets melted down. The office is just a small room at the front with a couple of desks and a lot of old files. We don't have any marketing people or a fancy website. Most of our customers are other industrial companies who have been buying from us for years. They know where we are and what kind of work we do. It is a straightforward business with no hidden frills. We show up, we do the casting, and we send the parts out. That is how it has been since we started at this location.
