You can find Indian Canvas at 57/1, which used to be known as number 103. We are on the second floor of a building in New Weavers Colony, near the Saibaba Mission post office. Being on the second floor means we have to carry everything up and down the stairs, which is quite a task with heavy canvas rolls. The colony is a place where a lot of making happens. You can hear the sounds of different machines from the street. Our space is mostly taken up by large tables where we measure and cut the material. There are threads and scraps of fabric all over the floor by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy office or a place for guests to sit. It is a workspace through and through. The lighting isn't great, so we do most of our detailed work near the windows. We have a few people who have been with us for a long time, and they really know how to handle the fabric. We don't spend any time on fancy talk or brochures. People find us because they know we do the work. It is a bit of a climb to get up here, but the view of the colony is okay. We just keep our heads down and get the orders finished on time. It is a simple life and a simple business. We are just happy to have the work and stay busy in the colony.
