Indian Air Force

We are located at 211/3 Officers Quarters in Kamal Park. This is part of the Air Force Station in Sulur, Coimbatore. Being on a base, life follows a very specific routine. Everything is orderly, but the quarters themselves are just regular homes where people live and work. It's not like the movies you see. It is a lot of paperwork and daily tasks. The weather in Sulur is usually quite hot, so you see people moving a bit slower in the midday sun. We have been stationed here for a while now. The office space is simple. It has that government feel—solid furniture and walls that could use a fresh coat of paint. We don't spend time thinking about how to market ourselves or anything like that. We have a role to play and we just do it. There are trees around Kamal Park which provide a little shade during the summer. You hear the sounds of the aircraft now and then, which is just part of the background noise for us. We eat at the mess or at home with our families. It’s a community of workers. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just know what the schedule is for the day. It’s a quiet life inside the gates. We just focus on the tasks we are given by the Indian Air Force.
