Down on 5 Sunderar Street, in the Nalvar Layout area of Rathinapuri, you’ll find our little branch. It’s tucked away in a more residential-feeling part of Coimbatore, so it doesn't feel as chaotic as the main roads. The office is small and a bit cramped when more than five people are inside at once. We have these old metal cupboards where we store all the files, and they creak every time you open them. Most of the day is spent handling the basic stuff—updating books, taking deposits, and answering the same three or four questions over and over. We don't mind, though. It’s part of being in the neighborhood. The light in here is a bit dim because the buildings next door are so close, so we keep the overhead lights on all day. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play cricket in the street outside, and you can hear the ball hitting the ground. It’s a very local vibe. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names, and we know whose aunt is sick or whose son just got a new job. We aren't here to give some polished corporate speech; we're just here to do the work that needs doing. When it’s time to go, we make sure the computers are off and the lights are out, and then we walk out into the quiet of Sunderar Street. It's a decent place to work.
