Hr Manager (Kpr Millingltd Clothing)

This office is located on Kanagi Street in the Choolaimedu area of Chennai. If you know the neighborhood, you know it’s crowded and full of life. We are based at number one, right at the start of the street. It’s where the HR side of the Kpr Millingltd Clothing business happens. Being in the clothing and milling industry means there’s always a lot of coordination to do between the factory workers and the management. My day usually starts with checking the shift schedules and seeing who showed up and who didn't. The building isn't very new, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it serves its purpose. Choolaimedu is a place where you can find anything you need within walking distance, so we usually grab lunch from one of the small messes nearby. It’s loud outside with the auto-rickshaws and the street vendors, but once you’re inside with the fan on, it’s alright. We handle a lot of the hiring for the mills and keep track of the payroll for the staff. It’s a lot of manual entries and phone calls to different departments. Sometimes the humidity in Chennai gets to us, but we’re used to it by now. We don't have a big corporate team here; it’s just a couple of us making sure things run like they should for the clothing business. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from morning till evening.
