Hi-Tech Number Plate

We are located at number 18 in Shanmuganandha Nagar, right near the Irugur Post office. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the city center, but we stay busy with customers coming in all day. As the name says, we spend our time making number plates for all sorts of vehicles. We have the machines for pressing the metal and painting the letters to make them look right. It’s a bit of a messy process with the ink and the sharp scraps of aluminum lying around the floor. We try to sweep up at the end of every day, but more piles up the next morning as soon as we start. It’s just a small shop. You can hear the clinking of the metal from the street if you walk by. My cousin and I run the place mostly. People come by with their new cars or bikes and wait while we finish their plates. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait if the machine is acting up or if we have a backlog. We don't have a fancy waiting room with magazines, just a couple of plastic chairs outside in the shade of the building. It’s a practical business. We don't do much advertising; people just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign. The weather gets very hot in Irugur, so we keep the big industrial fan running all the time. We’ve been doing this for years and we know the rules for the plates pretty well.
