Located over in IOB Colony, right on 73, 4th Street, our office has been part of the Coimbatore scene for a good stretch of time. Being near the Bharathiyar University Post means we see a lot of students and academic folks passing through the neighborhood. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the city center, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on paperwork or inventory. The street outside is narrow, so parking is always a bit of a puzzle every morning. We usually just find a gap and hope for the best. The building itself is pretty straightforward. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything like that. Instead, you just walk in and find us at our desks. There’s usually a stack of ledgers on the corner table and someone is probably on the phone talking about oil shipments. The weather in Coimbatore is usually okay, but the dusty roads around the university area can get to you after a while. We keep the windows shut mostly. It’s just a group of us working through the day, making sure the local distribution for Gulf Oil stays on track. We don’t do anything flashy. It’s just about getting the tasks done and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the week. People stop by sometimes just to ask for directions or check on an order.
