Geco Grinding Centre

Our workshop, Geco Grinding Centre, is located at No. 636 in Shanmuga Nagar. We are right off the Trichy Road in the Singanallur area of Coimbatore. It’s a busy spot, and there is always the sound of metal hitting metal coming from our garage. We handle grinding work for all sorts of machine parts. It’s pretty greasy and loud, plus the floor is usually covered in metal shavings by the end of the shift. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone in a suit to greet you. Usually, you’ll find someone covered in oil near the lathes or the grinding wheels. That’s just the nature of the job here. We’ve been in this building for years, and the walls show it. There are scuffs on the walls where we moved the heavy gear and old calendars hanging up that we forgot to change. We mostly deal with local workshops and small factories that need their components finished to a specific size. It’s hard work, and the heat in Coimbatore doesn't make it any easier during the summer months. We just open the big shutters wide and keep the fans going. We take in the work as it comes, get the measurements right, and hand it back when it’s done. It’s a simple, honest living, and we’re glad to be part of the industrial community here in Singanallur.
