S. V. S Auto Stores

S. V. S Auto Stores is located at No. 271 960 Extension in Gandhipuram, Coimbatore. This is a big hub for auto parts, so there’s always a lot of competition on every corner. We keep a lot of stock in the back rooms, mostly for two-wheelers and some larger cars. The shelves are very high and we have to use a wooden ladder to reach the stuff stored at the top. It’s dusty work, and our hands are usually black from handling metal parts and oily rubber tires all day. People come in with a broken part in their hand and ask if we have a match for it. We spend a lot of time looking through thick catalogs or searching the old computer to find the right part number. Gandhipuram is always crowded with traffic, so there’s a steady stream of people walking by our front door. We’ve got a simple counter where people wait while we go find whatever they need from the back. It’s a basic setup without any extras. We don't have air conditioning, just a few big ceiling fans to keep the air moving. When the monsoon rain hits, we have to be careful about the water coming in under the front door. We’ve been at this extension for a long time now and know most of the other shop owners nearby. We just sell the parts and give some basic advice if someone asks how to fit it. It’s regular, honest trade for us.
