We’ve been here at Nalliya Mudthaliar Lane for quite some time now. If you know the Ganapathy area, you probably know the Sathi Road traffic. We are right opposite the Aathi Honda showroom, which makes it easy for people to find us even when the lane gets a bit crowded with parked vehicles and delivery trucks. The workshop isn't anything fancy, just a solid place where we get the work done every day. Most mornings start with opening the shutters and checking what needs to be finished from the day before. It gets a bit loud with all the machinery running, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We handle a lot of metal stuff and parts. Sometimes the heat gets to us, especially in the afternoons, but we just keep going. People from around the neighborhood drop by mostly for small bits or to ask questions. We don’t have a big front office or a receptionist. Usually, you’ll find one of us with grease on our hands or busy moving things around in the back. It’s a practical setup. We’ve seen the area change over the years, more shops coming up, but we’ve stayed right here at No 5. It’s a decent spot for an industry like ours. We just focus on the jobs we have and try to make sure everything leaving the door is done okay. There really is nothing more to it than that.
