La Tierra Nonwoven

Our business is tucked away in Ranga Layout 2, over in the Nallampalayam area of Ganapathy. We work with nonwoven materials, mostly making bags and rolls for different uses. The address is 25/2, and it’s a quiet enough spot for us to focus on our work. We started this because we saw a need for these kinds of materials locally. It’s not a huge operation, just a small warehouse and some machinery. The machines can be a bit temperamental sometimes, so we spend a good chunk of the day just making sure everything stays in working order. We have a few workers who help with the cutting and the packing. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving heavy rolls around and getting them ready for transport. We aren't trying to be some massive international brand. We just want to provide decent nonwoven products to the people who need them in the city. Most of our days are spent on the phone with suppliers or checking the inventory. It’s a bit dusty in here, as you might expect with this kind of material, but we don't mind it much. We open up early and usually stay until the last truck is loaded. It’s just a normal job for us, and we try to do it right without making a big deal out of it. We just keep our heads down and work hard.
