Rainbow Yarns is located at No. 71/1071 inside the Sindhu Complex in Ganapathy. It’s a busy spot with lots of shops around, but we’ve managed to find our rhythm here. We handle a lot of different threads and yarns every day. Boxes get stacked up high, and sometimes it's hard to find a clear path to the back desk. We spend most of our time sorting through colors and checking the strength of the stock we get in. It’s not a glamorous job, but someone has to do it. The lighting in the complex is a bit dim sometimes, so we use extra lamps to see the shades properly. Customers come in looking for specific stuff for their weaving or knitting projects. We just show them what’s on the shelves and let them decide. Ganapathy is a good area, though traffic can be a nightmare during rush hour. We usually start early to beat the crowd. My cousin helps out on the weekends when it gets a bit more hectic. We don’t have a big fancy showroom, just a lot of yarn and a desk where we handle the paperwork. It’s been this way for years. We keep the doors open when it’s nice out. It’s just a regular local shop where we work hard and try to get everything shipped out on time. Sometimes the labels get mixed up, but we fix it eventually. It is just life in the shop.
