Field Engineer

We spend most of our time out on Pothanur Road. Our small place is at Thirumarai Nagar, number 48. Engineering is what we do, mostly technical stuff on different sites. It’s usually just us getting the job done. Sometimes things get very busy. Most of our work is in the local area. Coimbatore has plenty of factories and machines that always need fixing. We don't bother with a fancy office. On most days, my boots are pretty dirty from the sites. If you walk past Thirumarai Nagar, you might notice our sign. It's nothing special to look at, but we know the equipment inside and out. We’ve been here for a long time now. Usually, someone is around the shop, but calling first is better because we’re often out. The road gets crowded during rush hour. We just focus on the engineering side of things. It's straightforward work. There are no big meetings or anything like that. We just use our tools and solve problems where they happen. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to get to the next spot, but that's just life in Coimbatore. Spare parts are kept in the back room. It’s organized enough for us to find things. Living in this city forever means we know how the power cuts work. It's just part of the day. A small tea shop is right around the corner for when we need a break. We don't use computers much.
