Our office is at No. 479 B on Avinashi Road, which is a very busy part of Peelamedu. If you know the Suna Kalyananmandpam, then you know exactly where Felsic Minerals India Pvt. Ltd. is located. It is mostly an office job here, dealing with mineral samples and talking to people on the phone. The traffic outside never seems to stop, and sometimes it makes it hard to hear when we are trying to talk to the drivers. We have a small team and we’ve been in this spot for a few years now. There is a lot of filing to do because of all the regulations and paperwork that comes with minerals. Usually, the morning starts with checking emails and seeing which shipments are moving. We keep some samples on the shelves, mostly just rocks and bags of powder that get a bit dusty if we don't wipe them down. The lunch break is the best part of the day because we go to the small eateries nearby. Peelamedu is a good area, though parking can be a real headache on Avinashi Road. We just make it work. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait around to send a simple report. It isn't a glamorous life, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We just try to get the work done and go home at a decent hour. It is a plain and simple office routine.
