Fairy Boutique

Fairy Boutique is over at No. 2 C in Elango Nagar, which is part of the K R Puram area near the Ganapathy Post Office. It’s a quiet residential kind of neighborhood, so we don't get the huge crowds you’d see downtown. We mostly see the same faces every week, which is nice because we know what they like. The shop itself is pretty small, and we’ve got fabrics and finished pieces tucked into every corner. Sometimes it feels like we’re running out of room, but we always find a way to squeeze in a new shipment. The Ganapathy area is a bit dusty, so we’re always wiping down the glass counters in the morning. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who handle everything from the cleaning to the sales. It’s a lot of work, but it keeps us busy. We don’t have any fancy displays or expensive lighting; we just use what we have. Most days we spend our time sorting through the new arrivals or fixing up the window display. It’s a bit slow in the afternoons when everyone is at home, but it picks up in the evenings when people are out for their walks. We enjoy being in Elango Nagar; it’s a good community and everyone looks out for each other. We’re just a small local shop trying to provide something useful for the folks around here.
