Fabrictoday is tucked away on J.K.N. Street in Telengupalayam. That’s in Coimbatore, 641039, Tamilnadu. Coimbatore is famous for its textiles, and we are right in the thick of it. Our building is number 36. It’s a busy street, often crowded with vehicles and people moving goods around. Inside, you’ll find rolls of fabric and a lot of thread. It’s not a showroom with bright lights; it’s more of a working space where we handle the day-to-day business. We have been here for a while, and the walls show it. There’s a lot of noise from the street, but you get used to it after a while. Most of us here have been working with fabrics for years. We don't have a fancy marketing department. When we need to talk to a customer, we just pick up the phone or they drop by the street. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break. It’s a simple life. We deal with the local mills and the buyers who come through. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the street a mess, but work continues anyway. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get the fabric out on time and make sure the counts are right. It’s just us, the cloth, and the daily grind in Coimbatore.
