Eye Trust Hospital

We are over at Number 80 Valluvar Street in Sivanandha Colony. Most people just call it Sivananda Colony around here. It’s a fairly quiet street compared to the main roads, but we still get plenty of folks coming by. The building has been here for a while, and it feels like a part of the neighborhood now. We have a small area out front where people can park their scooters, though it gets a bit tight if too many people arrive at once. Inside, the walls are painted a pale green that’s supposed to be calming for the patients. We have a lot of benches for seating because we get groups of family members coming in together sometimes. The staff is mostly local, so we know a lot of the people who walk in by their first names or at least their faces. We spend our days doing the usual things like checking eye pressure and testing how well people can read the charts on the wall. The equipment is older but it works just fine for what we need to do. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just part of living in this area. We don't have a big marketing department or anything, just us doing the daily work of helping people see a bit better. It’s a plain, honest place to spend the day.
