Eraiyur Development Foundation

Our foundation is located at number 254 on Mettu street in Eraiyur, which is part of the Vanur Taluk. It is a very local spot and far from the big office buildings you see in the cities. We are right on the street where everyone passes by on their way to work or the market. The building is just a standard house that we have converted into an office space for our development work. We have a few chairs out front where people sometimes sit and rest for a minute. Inside, it is mostly just us and our folders. We don't use a lot of fancy software or have high-tech equipment. We mostly rely on talking to people face to face and writing things down by hand when we need to. Eraiyur is a place where everyone knows everyone else, so we don't really need to advertise who we are. People just know that if they come to Mettu street, they can find us there. The pace of life is a bit slower here, and we like that. It gives us time to actually listen to what people are saying instead of rushing to the next meeting. We handle the daily chores like cleaning the floor and making sure there is water for visitors ourselves. It is just a plain, honest place where we do our daily work for the community.
