Emote Electric Private Limited

You can find us over at 2/248 Cheran Residency in the Premiernagar area of Othakkalmandapam. It’s a fairly quiet neighborhood, which helps us stay focused on what we’re doing. We call the business Emote Electric and we’ve been working on electric vehicle tech here for a few years now. The office is basically just a big room filled with workbenches, parts, and a couple of bikes we are testing out. It’s not at all like those shiny corporate offices you see in the movies. We have wires and tools scattered all over the place because we’re always in the middle of some project or another. Most of the team is just a few guys who really like tinkering with batteries and motors. We spend a lot of time arguing over the best way to wire something up or how to fix a bug in the system. The residency itself is pretty calm, though the neighbor’s dog barks every time a delivery truck comes by. We don’t have a shop where you can just walk in and buy things off a shelf. Most of our days are spent at our desks or out in the back trying to get a prototype to run correctly. It’s a slow process and we’ve had plenty of failures along the way, but that’s just how engineering goes. We keep it simple and just focus on building things that actually work.
