Elixir Electronics, Coimbatore

We are based at No. 89-A on Nava India Road in Coimbatore. It’s a busy area and we’ve been here for a good long time. Elixir Electronics is basically just us in a small shop fixing gadgets and working with circuits. We don’t have any big marketing plans or anything like that. People mostly find us by word of mouth or just by walking past on the street. The shop is filled with all kinds of electronic parts and old boxes piled up in the corners. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is kept. The heat in Coimbatore can get pretty intense during the summer months, so we keep the fan running all day. We get a lot of different people coming in, from students at the nearby college to folks living in the houses around here. We just take things as they come. There is no big mission here, we just like working with our hands and solving problems. Sometimes when the power goes out, which happens now and then, we just sit outside on the steps and chat with the neighbors until it comes back on. It’s a simple way to run a business but it works for us. We like being part of the Nava India Road community and seeing the same faces every day. It feels like home to us after all this time.
