Dr Madhavan'S Clinic

Our clinic is sitting at 14 Bharathi Road right in Mahalingapuram. It is a fairly easy place to find if you know the Mahalingapuram area well. The street is lined with trees and it feels a bit more relaxed than the main city roads. Number 14 is a spot we have been at for a good bit of time now. The door stays open most of the day to let a bit of a breeze in. We start our day by wiping down the counters and checking the schedule on the desk. It is a simple setup here with just enough room for the people who need to see us. Sometimes the neighbors walk by and wave through the window. It is that kind of place. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just the stuff we actually need to do our jobs. The floor is a light color that shows every bit of dust so we are always sweeping. Bharathi Road gets a little crowded during the evening hours when everyone is heading home. We usually see the same faces every week. It feels like a small community inside these walls. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated systems. We just write things down and make sure everyone gets seen. It is a quiet life here at the clinic and we wouldn't have it any other way.
