Our office is located at Rama Jeyam Illam, which is house number 9 in the CGV Nagar extension. It’s right there in the LIC Colony area of Selvapuram. Since we are in a residential part of Coimbatore, the atmosphere is quite relaxed compared to the city center. We run our chit fund business from here, mostly helping out the people who live in and around Selvapuram. It is a small team of us working in the office. We spend most of our time going through the collection books and talking to the members who drop by. Being in an "Illam" or a house makes the whole thing feel more personal. People feel comfortable coming in and sitting down for a bit while they handle their payments. We don't have those tall glass partitions or uniformed guards. It’s just a regular building where we do our daily tasks. The streets here are mostly quiet, except for the morning and evening rush. We have been here for a while and the neighbors all know what we do. We find that being close to where people live makes it much easier for them to manage their chits. There’s no need for fancy language or big promises here. We just keep the records clean and make sure the monthly meetings happen as they should. It’s practical work for practical people in our little corner of Coimbatore.
