Our office is at No. 504, Municipal Colony, which is on College Road. If you walk past, you might not even realize what we’re doing inside. It’s a lot of logistical stuff. We handle the import and export side of things, which mostly involves a lot of tracking numbers and making sure the crates are on the right trucks at the right time. The office has been the same for years, with the same old desks and the same filing cabinets that always stick a little bit when you try to open them. We’re used to it. The College Road area is always busy with students and traffic, so there’s a lot of noise coming in from the street. We don’t mind it much. Most of our work is about getting the details right so nothing gets stuck at the port for too long. It’s a lot of back-and-forth emails. We have a small storage area in the back where we keep the latest shipments. It gets crowded when a big order comes in, and we have to shuffle things around to make space. It’s just a regular small business. We don’t have a marketing department or anything like that. We just have our regular customers who know we’ll get the job done eventually. It’s a bit dusty and the chairs are old, but we get the work finished every day. That’s how it’s been for as long as I’ve been working here.
