Covai Bottles

Our place, Covai Bottles, is a bit out of the way. We are at number 6/6/3 in Theppakulathu Parai. You have to go through Thirumalayampalayam and take the Kumittipathi Road to reach us. It’s a long address to write down, but once you’ve been here once, it’s easy to find. We are near the Masthigoundanpathi Post. It’s very quiet out here compared to the noise of the city. We have a lot of space for the bottles, which is good because they take up a lot of room. Most of our day is spent counting, sorting, and checking for cracks. It can be a bit repetitive, but we usually have a laugh while we do it. We get a lot of trucks coming in and out during the week. The drivers often stay for a cup of tea and a chat before heading back out on the road. The office is just a small room off to the side of the main storage area. It’s got a couple of old desks and a calendar from three years ago that no one has bothered to take down. We don’t mind it. It feels like home to us. We’ve been doing this for a long time. People around here know we are the bottle folks. We don't do any big advertising or anything fancy. Word of mouth seems to work okay for us. It’s a simple life out here. We work hard, look after each other, and try to get the orders out on time.
