Claasic Cars

We are set up at 81, S.K. Complex, which is right on Mettupalayam Road. If you know the area, you probably know the Tulasi Pharmacy—we are directly opposite that. Kavundampalayam is a busy part of town, and the road outside stays pretty hectic with all the traffic heading in and out. At Claasic Cars, we spend our days looking at engines and bodywork. The S.K. Complex is a solid building, though it’s seen better days, just like some of the vehicles that come to see us. It’s often pretty oily and loud in the shop, but that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with old cars. We have a few old calendars on the wall and a radio that plays in the background most of the time. We don’t have a glossy showroom or people in ties trying to sell you things. It’s just a bunch of us who like cars and know how they work. Sometimes we get a bit behind on things when a difficult job comes in, but we always stay until the work is finished. Being right across from Tulasi Pharmacy makes it easy for people to give directions to their friends. We’ve been at number 81 for a while, and we’ve seen all sorts of cars come through those doors. It’s a lot of hard work, but we enjoy being part of the Kavundampalayam community every single day.
