Our shop is at 11-A, Vasantha Nagar, right near Shanthi Gears Ltd. in Singanallur. It’s a busy part of town and we like it that way. Most of our day is spent handling calls or working on whatever machine is sitting on the bench at the moment. We have tools scattered around because that’s just how it goes when you’re busy and in the middle of a repair. It isn't the quietest place to work, especially with the noise from the nearby factories and the street traffic. We’ve been doing sales and repairs here for a good while. Some of the regulars just drop by for a chat even if they don't need anything fixed. We usually have a bit of grease on our hands by noon. The shop doesn't have air conditioning, so it gets hot in the summer months, but we have a couple of big fans that keep the air moving enough to keep working. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity with a polished image. It’s just a local service spot for the community. We focus on getting the machines back in working order so people can get on with their lives. Sometimes parts take a few days to arrive from the supplier and we have to explain that to customers, which isn't always a fun conversation. We try to be honest about how long things will take. It’s just us and the work.
