Burhani Industrial Mart

Gray Town is one of those places where you can find almost anything if you know which door to knock on. We’re over at No: 44 on Nanjappa Road, which is usually pretty packed with traffic. Being near the Dhanam Auto Shop is a good thing because people are always coming by to get their cars fixed, and they often realize they need something from us too. Burhani Industrial Mart is basically a place for all those industrial bits and pieces that keep factories and workshops going. We have shelves full of parts that most people wouldn't even recognize, but for a mechanic or a builder, they’re essential. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things pretty high. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but I know exactly where everything is located. The street outside is noisy and there is always someone honking, but inside we just focus on the work. We talk to a lot of regulars who’ve been coming to us for years. They don't want a sales pitch; they just want to know if we have the right size bolt or a specific tool in stock. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We don't have uniforms or a fancy reception desk. We just have a counter and a lot of knowledge about the stuff we sell. It keeps us on our feet and the days go by pretty fast, especially when things get hectic.
