Bharathiyar University

This specific office is located at 1/133, right near the Government School in Karamadai. We are part of the Bharathiyar University network, but this spot has its own local feel. Being near the school means it gets quite loud during the morning drop-off and the afternoon bell. We can hear the kids playing and the teachers talking. Our building is a simple one-story structure with a few rooms for administration and student help. The walls are painted a light color that has started to peel a bit at the corners. We have old wooden desks and cabinets full of ledgers and student records. It’s a very functional space. We don’t have a lot of high-tech gadgets, just the basics to keep things running. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we all know the local shortcuts. Tamil Nadu summers are tough, so we keep the windows shut to keep the dust out. There is a big tree outside that gives a bit of shade to the people waiting at the entrance. It is a quiet place for most of the day, except for when the school is on break. We handle a lot of paperwork and talk to students who come in from the surrounding villages. It isn’t like the main campus; it’s much more grounded and tied to the Karamadai community. We just go about our day, helping whoever walks through the door.
