If you head down Kasthuri Palayam Road toward Jothipuram, you’ll find us at No-6 in M.G.R Nagar. Bharath Industries is right there in the Kuttai Thottam area. It’s a busy part of the outskirts, and there’s always something moving. We open up early, usually while the air is still a bit cool. The floor is mostly concrete and we’ve got machines that have been with us for years. They make a lot of noise, but that’s just the sound of work getting done. We don't have fancy office chairs or air conditioning in the main area. It’s a place where things are made and shipped out. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up at the end of the shift. We’ve got a small crew, and everyone knows what they’re supposed to do. Lunch is usually taken together sitting on the benches outside. We talk about the weather or local news mostly. Jothipuram is a good place to be because the transport links are easy for the trucks. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. It’s nothing spectacular, just a solid building where we put in the hours every day. We don’t bother with big slogans or anything like that. We just do the work. The lock on the main gate sticks a little, so you have to jiggle it to get in.
