Avanashiappan Industries

Avanashiappan Industries is situated at 78-A, right by the South Railway Line in Lakshmipuram, over in the Chekkan Thottam Ganapathy area. You can hear the trains passing by quite often, which is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. Our workshop is a practical space where we handle different kinds of industrial manufacturing and fabrication. It’s not a shiny new factory, but it has everything we need to get the job done. The roof is high and it can get a bit hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going. We mostly deal with metal work and parts that go into bigger machines. There’s always the smell of cutting oil and the sound of something being hammered or welded. We started out with just a couple of machines and slowly added more as we could afford them. The neighborhood is a mix of small houses and workshops like ours. We know most of the people who walk past our gate every day. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but this is where we have our space and our tools. We aren't big on talking ourselves up. We just take the drawings or the orders and start working on them. It’s what we know how to do, and we’ve been doing it right here by the railway line for a good while. We like the work and the people we deal with every day.
