A.V. Dental Clinic

A.V. Dental Clinic is situated at No. 1349-1 in Srivenkatesapuram, right on Sathy Road in the Ganapathy area. Sathy Road is always packed with traffic heading toward the city, so there is a constant sound of horns and engines outside our door. I usually get in early to sweep the front step and get the dental equipment sterilized. The clinic is a small space, really just a couple of rooms and a tiny area for people to sit. We have some blue plastic chairs that have been there for years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they are clean enough for now. I find that most of our patients are people who live in Ganapathy and don't want to travel all the way into the main part of Coimbatore for a checkup. It is a simple setup with just the essential tools we need for the day. I keep a small radio in the back that plays local stations, which helps drown out the road noise a bit. The afternoon sun hits the front window quite hard, so we have to keep the curtains drawn to stay cool. It’s a very practical way to spend the day. I know most of the shopkeepers nearby, so we usually exchange a nod when I go out to get tea. Working here feels very grounded in the local neighborhood. We just take one patient at a time and try to keep things moving steadily. Sometimes the monkeys on the roof make a lot of noise.
